Job Summary:
The Security Technician will be responsible for the physical support of the corporate security systems as well as the integration of security technology across the business. The Security Technician will primarily work at the various local sites and will respond to the ongoing maintenance and new installation of our security systems. The Security Technician will also assist in situations, supporting other departments at various sites as needed, supporting security-related investigations, responding to emergencies, coordinating project installations, conducting audits (systems, buildings, access, etc.), and troubleshooting physical and technological issues.
As a Security Technician, you will:
Maintenance, and troubleshooting of access systems, alarms, and surveillance systems, including installation management of security-related installation projects. Capable of running and diagnosing issues with structured and low voltage Cabling. Ability to read and understand schematic plans
Conduct security-related risk assessments based on site visits and report back deficiencies
Participate in investigations and prepare reports for on-site incidents, internal investigations, losses, and/or violations of security policies
Assist Security Coordinator in Supporting Operations and/or Human Resources with security staffing and/or any contracted security needs
Familiarity with Avigilon surveillance camera systems, AMAG card access, and PeopleSoft Financial and HR applications preferred
Abilitytoreadsiteplans, blueprints/as-builts,etc.
